Nicole Richie is the heiress and adopted daughter of famed musician Lionel Richie. She grew up in the limelight as the daughter of the famous singer and began to achieve the reputation of being a party girl heiress. Then in 2003, with the launch of the reality TV series featuring Richie and Paris Hilton, Richie achieved more widespread celebrity status. This series has been Richie's primary foray into the entertainment industry having filmed five seasons since its inception. In January 2008 she had her first child with her boyfriend Joel Madden, and since then, Richie has placed her focus on raising her daughter.
